Module 2.2: Finding Resources and Exploring CSS

Resources for HTML

Developer Mozilla

This website just sets up several tags that the user can simply copy and paste into their code so that they can achieve the result described by the website. They don't dive in depth into what each tag does exactly in terms of what the computer is reading, but it allows the user to get the result they want.

Semrush

Unlike the previous website, this one goes a bit more in depth, not about each individual tag, but what the computer does to read each line of code. It also gives a list of the most used tags, but doesn't set it up in a copy and past format.

W3Schools

From discussions with my Computer Science friends, this is the website that they rely on the most. When I first began learning about CSS, I did not understand a single concept, but this website helped me a lot and provided several copy and paste links for website design.

Geeks for Geeks

I mostly used this website for the graphs and images that showed the layout of each element in the design. This helped me know exactly where each element that I code will go. Specifically, I enjoyed seeing what the code looked like for the writing of different columns when writing articles.

Resources for Design

Free Frontend

Oh my goodness, I had so much fun with this website. I played with it a bit in class, so I could see what changes with each element I altered from the copy and paste code lines that they had. They had several designs and some of them even had interactive elements that really interested me.

Smashing Magazine

This website explained how to locate and imput different colors in HTML. It also explained the importance of adding divergent and vigrant colors to your website and the benefits that it can have on the view numbers of your site.

Resources for Royalty Free Photos

Pexels

The photos in this website seemed to be a bit more artistic than then others that I looked at. The pictures seemed to be a bit more creative and focused less on looking like generic stock photos and more like genuine, well-taken photos. This is the website I would turn to first for good quality pictures.

Vista Create

This website on the other hand seems to be a bit more adjacent to stock photos. It also seemed like google wanted me to sign into this website, so google may be promoting this website a bit more seriously than others because this was the first website that came up when I searched for royalty free photos.
