The Pull of Lavender

On the majority of the websites that I used to research different shades of purple, most agreed that the color represented regality and luxury. In deeper and darker shades of purple, I understand that, but my favorite shade of purple is lavender because it invokes a state of nostalgia and simplicity that calms the mind. Many websites agreed with that conclusion and as I dove into different sites that utilize the color scheme, I found a common thread. Many of those websites were catered towards women. Audiences favored the softer look of lavender because it possessed a feminine nature that didn't attack the eyes. In fact, as I tried to find websites that use lavender, I could only find boutiques and other general small businesses that were selling clothes to adult women.
